Responsibilities

  • Perform patient vitals, physical exams, and prepare patients for provider consultations in a timely manner.
  • Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed by licensed physicians and nurse practitioners.
  • Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately, ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and laboratory services to optimize clinic flow.
  • Assist providers during examinations with procedural support and patient positioning.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in accordance with hygiene protocols.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service at the front desk when needed.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
  • Current New York State Medical Assistant license or equivalent certification.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced clinical setting is highly preferred.
