Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, progress, and changes in condition accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of New York.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
