Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming to ensure patient hygiene and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Feed patients and assist with eating, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Document patient care activities and progress notes in the electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required and currently active in the state of Nebraska.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for healthcare providers is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 250 lbs with assistance.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to healthcare delivery.
