Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and walking.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and family members.
- Administer medication as directed by the RN or LPN.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Pennsylvania.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients up to 50 lbs safely.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
