Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting).
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with special dietary requirements or dysphagia.
- Communicate changes in patient condition, behavior, or response to treatment to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Document patient care services accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Arizona.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- Previous experience in a long-term care facility or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a strong work ethic.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
