Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance to residents in a skilled nursing facility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the RN or LPN immediately.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in accordance with facility standards and OSHA guidelines.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, following proper safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and active North Carolina CNA Certification (CNA I) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred or required within 30 days of hire.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read and write in English.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
