Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance to ensure daily living needs are met.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately.
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks and maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to update them on patient conditions and care plans.
- Support nurses with procedures, specimen collection, and administrative documentation as required.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, following safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Texas.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as necessary (Physical Stamina required).
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
