Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on nursing standards and physician orders.
- Administer medications, treatments, and medications via IV lines as prescribed, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously, promptly reporting any significant changes to the charge nurse or physician.
- Document patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (New Graduates with exceptional clinicals will be considered).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.
