Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the RN.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA license in the state of North Carolina (or eligible for reciprocity).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support) is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as required by the job.
