Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates accurately.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status changes and concerns to RNs and physicians in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and care logs in compliance with facility policies.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients at all times.
- Assistance: Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and light housekeeping tasks related to patient care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active CNA license issued by the State of California.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
