Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring patients with dietary restrictions are accommodated.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Document patient care plans, procedures, and changes accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Indiana.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting is preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
