Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations and treatments under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Virginia CNA Certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification valid and current.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Positive attitude and a genuine passion for patient care.
