Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote patient independence and dignity.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or LPN.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current New Mexico CNA license and certification.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
