Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Communicate patient conditions and changes to the Registered Nurse (RN) and charge nurse promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed staff within scope of practice.
- Document all patient interactions and care plans accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by state of Oregon.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- One (1) year of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
