Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Communicate patient status changes and concerns to the nursing staff promptly.
- Prepare and maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic patient environment.
- Administer medication as directed by the Charge Nurse.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Ohio.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently.
