Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and response to treatment in medical records.
Qualifications
- Current State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and active license.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Basic life support (BLS) and CPR certification are required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
