Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance to ensure daily living needs are met.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transferring them safely from beds to wheelchairs or using walkers.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations, following facility protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in the electronic health records (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Florida CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience as a CNA or in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented approach to healthcare.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
