Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance, and prepare them for examinations.
- Vitals & Admin: Accurately measure and record patient vitals, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during procedures, draw blood, and administer injections as directed.
- Inventory Management: Manage medical supplies, restock exam rooms, and ensure a clean, sterile environment.
- Documentation: Update patient charts in our EMR system and coordinate follow-up appointments with patients.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program; CMA, RMA, or NCMA certification preferred.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and/or ACLS certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty office setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all backgrounds.
