Responsibilities
- Patient Intake & Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, medical history, and personal information to ensure proper medical records.
- Assistance with Procedures: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist providers during patient exams and minor procedures.
- Phlebotomy & Lab Work: Collect blood and other specimens for lab analysis following strict safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Administrative Duties: Manage appointment scheduling, verify insurance information, and handle patient billing inquiries efficiently.
- Charting & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) using our proprietary systems.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions on medication, post-procedure care, and healthy lifestyle changes.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to sanitation and sterilization standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting.
- Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients of all backgrounds.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using electronic health records systems (EHR) and medical software.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy in documentation and data entry.
