Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records with HIPAA compliance
- Provide medication counseling and answer patient inquiries about drug interactions
- Operate automated dispensing systems and maintain clean, organized workspaces
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve prescription discrepancies
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding and IV preparation
- Excellent attention to detail with zero-error medication handling
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
