Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, order pharmaceutical supplies, and maintain stock rotation systems
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility for medications
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain precise electronic health records and pharmacy documentation
- Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in medication handling
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly explain medication instructions
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Basic understanding of sterile compounding procedures preferred
