Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and conducting cycle counts
- Process insurance claims and handle patient billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
- Operate pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) and automation systems
- Assist with immunizations and health screenings as certified
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Basic math and computer literacy
