Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for patient appointments.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, maintaining a sterile field and anticipating needs.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral photographs as required.
- Manage patient records, update dental charts accurately, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Perform chairside duties including suctioning, handing instruments, and applying topical anesthetics.
- Order and inventory dental supplies to ensure the clinic runs efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA is preferred; recent graduates are welcome to apply.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
