Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with HIPAA compliance
- Counsel patients on medication usage and potential side effects
- Operate pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Rx30) and automated dispensing systems
- Maintain clean and organized pharmacy workspace
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficient in pharmacy technology systems and inventory management
- Strong attention to detail and math accuracy skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Basic knowledge of FDA medication regulations
