Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications following all protocols
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility efficiently
- Provide exceptional patient consultations on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain precise patient records and medication profiles in compliance with HIPAA
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve medication-related inquiries
- Ensure strict adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 2 years pharmacy technician experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong mathematical accuracy
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
