Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software for record-keeping and dispensing
- Assist in compounding sterile/non-sterile preparations
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana Pharmacy Technician certification
- Minimum 1-year retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail with high accuracy in medication handling
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
