Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify prescriptions for dosage and drug interactions using pharmacy software.
- Assist pharmacists in maintaining inventory levels and managing stock orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer patient inquiries regarding medication and insurance.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and DEA guidelines.
- Process insurance claims and handle payment transactions.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is a plus.
