Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Collaborate with healthcare team on patient care initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent required
