Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Verify patient information and insurance details for compliance
- Maintain precise inventory management and medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Operate pharmacy technology including dispensing systems and EMR platforms
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care
- Adhere to all DEA, HIPAA, and pharmacy board regulations
Qualifications
- Current Texas Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication abilities in English and Spanish
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
