Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and compound prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation to ensure optimal supply levels
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with HIPAA compliance
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and health maintenance
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software efficiently
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve medication therapy issues
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain immediately
- Prior experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety protocols
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
