Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and prepare IV solutions under pharmacist supervision
- Process prescription orders and verify insurance coverage
- Maintain inventory control and medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Adhere to all state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Assist with medication therapy management and patient counseling
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficient in pharmacy management systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Basic computer skills and attention to detail
- Must pass background check and drug screening
