Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and patient billing information
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain sterile compounding environments and equipment
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient data confidentiality
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for prescription verification
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in Pennsylvania
- Prior retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Proficient with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Rx30)
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
