Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records in HIPAA-compliant systems
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Operate automated dispensing systems and maintain clean, organized pharmacy workspace
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Assist in training new pharmacy technicians and maintaining compliance with state regulations
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- High school diploma or equivalent required
