Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and patient billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy technology including dispensing software and automated systems
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- High school diploma or equivalent required
