Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation for 3,000+ SKUs
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility for Medicaid/Medicare
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and refill procedures
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic health records in pharmacy management software
- Operate automated dispensing systems and IV preparation equipment
- Coordinate with long-term care facilities for medication synchronization
Qualifications
- Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician license required
- PTCB or ExCPT certification with 2+ years experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of FDA medication safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to stand 8+ hours and lift 25 lbs regularly
- Basic compounding experience preferred
- Background check and drug screening required
