Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient medication counseling
- Ensure strict compliance with FDA, DEA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for specialized medications
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 1 year of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and drug interactions
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy software systems
- Exceptional communication and customer service abilities
