As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medications to our patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, prepare, and dispense prescription medications under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries and resolving patient concerns efficiently.
- Assist with compounding medications and preparing IV solutions as required.
- Process payments and handle returns or exchanges with a high degree of accuracy.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required (e.g., PTCB or ExCPT).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and pharmacy management software (e.g., Rx30, Maestro).
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes up to 25 lbs.
