Responsibilities
- Verify prescription orders for accuracy and completeness before dispensing.
- Prepare and package medications according to state and federal regulations.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries and provide counseling where appropriate.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and disposing of expired drugs.
- Process insurance claims and handle reimbursement paperwork efficiently.
- Assist the Pharmacist in maintaining patient records and medical files.
- Ensure the pharmacy area remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification is preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform math calculations accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- CPR certification is a plus.
