Responsibilities
- Accurately fill prescriptions and verify all patient information and insurance details.
- Prepare medication labels and ensure proper packaging for patient pickup.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions regarding medications and general pharmacy operations.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and monitoring expiration dates.
- Assist pharmacists with compounding and quality control processes.
- Process returns and handle over-the-counter sales efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy management software.
- Valid Nebraska Pharmacy Technician license.
