Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrumentation and wound closure
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Coordinate instrument processing and inventory management
- Document procedural events accurately in electronic health records
- Train junior staff on surgical techniques and equipment
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of scrub experience in Level 1 trauma center
- Current BLS certification
- Expertise in orthopedic/neurosurgical specialties preferred
- Proficiency with MIS and robotic-assisted surgery systems
- Ability to stand 8+ hours with frequent lifting (50 lbs max)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
