Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical equipment for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Perform pre-operative case preparation and post-operative equipment sterilization
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and sterile processing standards
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Associate degree from accredited surgical technology program
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and on-call
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing protocols
