Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and implement infection control protocols
- Count and document surgical instruments and supplies pre/post-procedure
- Transport patients and prepare them for surgical interventions
- Operate sterilization equipment and maintain instrument inventory
- Collaborate with RNs and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless surgical flow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Graduate of accredited surgical technology program
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Minimum 2 years OR experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Valid Arizona state license
