Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgeries
- Prepare patients for surgery by positioning and draping them appropriately
- Operate surgical equipment including sterilizers and endoscopic cameras
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and order necessary materials
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety standards
Qualifications
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
- Minimum 1 year recent surgical tech experience in hospital setting
- Completion of accredited surgical technology program
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Experience in multiple surgical specialties (Ortho, Neuro, General)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
