Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count surgical supplies and instruments before/during/after procedures
- Transport patients and equipment between operating rooms and recovery areas
- Document procedural details and equipment usage accurately
- Restock and sanitize operating rooms post-procedure
Qualifications
- Accredited surgical technology program graduate or equivalent military training
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrument sterilization
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure surgical environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
