Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields, equipment, and instruments for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and implement strict infection control protocols
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures
- Operate sterilization equipment and manage inventory of surgical supplies
- Document procedure details accurately in electronic health records
- Transport patients to and from operating rooms with proper safety protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- 1+ years of experience in hospital OR setting preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be available to start within 48 hours of offer
