Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist nurses and physicians with procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care plans and status updates.
- Document daily activities and changes in patient condition accurately in electronic medical records.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies within established guidelines.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in the state of New Mexico.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
