Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and positioning to prevent bedsores.
- Administer prescribed medications and document treatments accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the State of Colorado.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is a plus but not mandatory.
