As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients in various settings, including private homes and assisted living facilities across NY.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Administer medication as directed by RNs and LPNs.
- Document patient progress and care activities in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in New York State.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in home care or long-term care is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Reliable transportation to multiple patient locations.
