Responsibilities
- Provide direct, hands-on patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and document vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report significant changes to the Registered Nurse immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring maximum safety and comfort at all times.
- Prepare and serve meals, strictly adhering to all dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care plans and daily progress notes.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient treatment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Tennessee required.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
