Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist the nursing staff with medical procedures, wound care, and medication administration under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment to prevent infections and ensure comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Document patient progress and any changes in condition in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations following established safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the state of Oklahoma.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is strongly preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods as required by the role.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
